Rumors started swirling that Prince William was unfaithful to his wife.
There was even speculation that the alleged affair was with Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley (who is married to David Rocksavage, another royal). Reports followed saying that the Duchess of Cambridge had asked that Rose be removed from any future royal invitations and allegedly shunned her from her group of friends.
A tweet surfaced with photos that claim to be of Prince William kissing the woman.
A man who shares a similar appearance to the Duke of Cambridge was photographed leaning into a woman and seemingly kissing her. People on Twitter reacted saying it was William.
Royal fans were in disbelief when the news broke.
After several reports began to surface, fans took to Twitter to express their concerns. The Sun reported that Kate and her friend had a fallen out due to the cheating rumors. "William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends," a source told the newspaper. "But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them any more and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status."
The pair have had a fairy tale life together.
The couple got engaged during a trip to Kenya in October 2010, and their engagament was announced the following month. They tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London. They now share three kids together--Prince George of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, and Prince Louis of Cambridge.
