The world is rooting for their love. There was a lot of good energy and celebratory messages sent to Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez following the news of their engagement earlier in March. People have been so excited to learn that they will be walking down the aisle soon, that they even received a handwritten letter from former President Barack Obama himself.

The former president of the United States sent the couple a note on his and wife Michelle Obama's behalf, congratulating the couple on their new journey. The former baseball star shared a photo of the letter on Instagram on Thursday, March 22--and it is definitely proof that their relationship is far from average.

The couple announced their engagement earlier in March.

Alex got down on one knee on March 9 and J.Lo said "yes!" to a lifetime of happiness with her new fiancé. The pair had been dating since February 2017 and had been getting questions about an engagement since early on in their relationship.

Tons of celebrities sent the newly engaged pair their well wishes.

Stars flooded the comments with congratulatory and loving messages for the couple. Everyone from Ellen DeGeneres and Kris Jenner were delighted by the news that the happy lovebirds would soon be Mr. and Mrs. While some pretty big time celebs wished them well on Instagram, that didn't compare at all to getting a handwritten note from the former president.

Alex proudly shared the letter he received from Obama.

A-Rod shared a photo of the card they received on official Barack Obama letterhead on Thursday, March 21, and captioned it: "This means the world to us. #44." The former politician sent the most heartfelt handwritten message. "Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement," Obama wrote. "After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenge life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better."

Barack and Michelle surely do know a thing or two about marriage.

Judging by the caption on the Instagram post he shared for one of the former first lady's birthdays, it's clear he has a way with words. The pair tied the knot in 1992 and have faced plenty of highs and lows as a couple, so the message in Obama's note has deep meaning.

She attended the Western Inaugural Ball in January 2009 in Washington, D.C. when Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States. J.Lo attended the event with then-husband Marc Anthony, and the former couple performed for the Obamas and their guests during the ball.
