Jen tagged Ellen's Instagram page on her engagement announcement post.
Alex posted the photo along with a caption that said, "She said yes ♥️." Jen shared the same gorgeous shot of her engagement ring, along with nothing but red heart emojis as her caption. Some fans were wondering why Ellen was tagged in the post instead of A-Rod, but it all makes sense.
Ellen reacted to being tagged on the post in the funniest way.
Ellen commented on the post soon after Jen posted it and wrote: "Yes. I'll be your Maid of Honor."
The TV host has been badgering Jen and Alex about a proposal.
Ellen made sure to give the former baseball star a little push to propose to his sweetheart when she recently teased the former MLB player by hinting that his time to propose was running out. When J.Lo appeared on the show in February, Ellen gifted them with a hilarious Valentine's Day present. It was a giant wall clock with a photo of them in the background to remind him that it was time. "It's basically to remind him that time is ticking and he should hurry up and propose, or you should propose," the talk show host said. Jen agreed with Ellen and laughingly said: "I'm going to give this to him for Valentine's Day. 'Your time is almost up!'"
Jen has some previous experience with proposals.
She revealed on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden that she has been proposed to a total of five times! She said she turned down two of the proposals, without revealing who proposed to her, but she has been married three times. She married Ojani Noa in 1997 and they split a year later, she tied the knot with dancer Cris Judd in 2002 before calling it quits in 2003, and she was married to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. Jen and Alex celebrated their two-year anniversary in February and seemed to have built quite a stable and happy life together. While Ellen was awaiting the engagement for some time, it might seem too soon for some. But it does seem like they're both in a good place and are ready to make the move. We wish them the best!
