The TV personality took to his Instagram stories on Tuesday, March 5, and opened up about everything from his breakup to his sexuality and why he never sees himself dating another man after Joaquin. And at just 18 years old, Johnny is just now figuring out who he is and what he wants out of life.

He revealed he and his boyfriend, Joaquin, weren't together anymore.

"I'm only going to answer this once, just because I keep getting asked. I don't think I'm ready to be in a relationship right now; I've come to realize that," he said in the clip. "I have a lot of s**t I need to work out. But I love him with all my heart, and I always want him in my life. He's one of my best friends, so yeah."

Johnny talked about his experience coming out.

"I honestly kind of regret it. I wish I would've just told my family instead of, like, the whole world," he said. "But, you know, I'm glad I did it before anyone can use it against me, but I just don't like how people treat you different based on it."

He said he won't date another guy again after his relationship with Joaquin.

"I'm bi. I mean, I made it pretty clear when I announced my relationship in 2017. I probably wouldn't date another guy again. I don't see that happening," he revealed.

He knew that after dating Joaquin he wouldn't date any other guys.

"I don't think I have a particular reason. It's just like I don't see it happening. I don't necessarily want it. I knew that going into my first relationship, like, this is going to be the only guy I date. I just don't see it, you know?"

A fan asked him if he was homophobic.

"It's very funny you're asking me this question because I've had a lot of thought about this in the last few months," he said. "I don't think I'm homophobic; I just don't really get along with feminine gay guys. I just can't vibe with them. I'm honestly just a different type of dude."

Someone asked him to explain his take on "feminine gay guys."

"I don't know. I guess it just depends, or maybe I've just had bad luck, but I feel like a lot of feminine gay guys are really problematic," he shared. "But I used to get along all the time with people like Jacob, my mom's makeup artist, rest in peace. I don't know."

Rumors began swirling about his sexuality when Joaquin posted pics of them together on social media.

Joaquin posted some cute selfies of them getting cozy together in 2017, and people began wondering if they were a couple. Johnny later said he didn't intend for that to be the way he addressed his sexuality to the public.

Johnny came out as bisexual via a Facebook video in November 2017.

He sat down for the video to open up about his dating life with the support of his sister Chiquis. "I wanted to make this video first and for everyone to understand me. But my boyfriend, as you guys now know, Joaquin, we both got a little too excited, and he posted a few pictures of us, and I retweeted them, and they went viral. And people began to start noticing that we were together," he said at the time. "They didn't exactly come out the way I wanted them to, but they're up now. And I just wanted to explain myself a little bit more in depth. I am in a gay relationship right now, and I am in love with this person."

Even though they're no longer together, Johnny was really happy back then.

"I've been dealing with this part of myself for a long time now. Me and Joaquin, tomorrow is actually our two-year anniversary. But we've been back together for about five months now. We were split for about a year and a half, and in that time, I did experiment with girls," he revealed in the video at the time. "You know, I've tried different things here and there. And I still don't know my preference personally, but I do know that I love this person a lot. I've been in love with him for two years now, and I'm happy. I'm really happy, and it's the happiest I've ever been." We wish Johnny the best in his journey of self-discovery!
