At just 21 years old, Kylie Jenner has built an empire that most people can only dream of in their lifetimes. It was reported by Forbes on Tuesday, March 5, that she has now been crowned as the youngest self-made billionaire ever, mostly because of her company, Kylie Cosmetics. The businesswoman has been involved in everything from books to TV shows to clothing lines and more since she was just 10 years old--and it all paid off. She has beat out the former youngest billionaire, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, who was 23 when he launched the social media site.

From the beginning of Kylie's career, mom and manager Kris Jenner has made sure that her daughter was setting herself up for success any way that she could. No deal has been too big or too small for the cosmetics mogul who has been promoting all types of products on social media, which brings in an estimated $1 million per sponsored post. Both Kylie and the products she promotes benefit from her more than 128 million Instagram followers. Any mention of a song or clothing brand on her page is guaranteed to make it a hit. And she followed that business model for her own company.

Kylie launched Kylie Cosmetics in 2015 and she had no idea it would be this huge. The company's worth was estimated at $900 million in 2018, and as the sole owner of it, she was on the road to becoming a billionaire. She started out by selling lip kits, which included a liquid lipstick and a lip liner that she herself used to make her small lips appear bigger by overlining them. She turned her insecurity of not having a full pout into a billion-dollar brand, and that's some really powerful stuff.

The exclusivity and limited quantities of her products were what made it a success from the start. Since then, the company has evolved and so has its owner. Kylie has had her own reality show, she has inked deals with some major companies, and she has tried her hand in real estate, making her the world's new youngest billionaire ever. Take a look at Kylie's road to billionaire status.

Kylie began her makeup line with a few selections of colors of her lip kits, which included a tube of liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner. Since then, she has expanded her line to include blushes, bronzers, eye shadow palettes, eye liner, and more. The company was said to be valued at $900 million in 2018, and Kylie is the sole owner.

She began opening up temporary stores to sell her products. 2

She started doing pop-up shops around the country and people lined up outside for hours to get their hands on her cosmetics. If they were lucky enough, they'd get a glimpse of the makeup mogul herself...if she happened to stop by at the stores.

Kylie has been a TV star since 2007. 3

Kylie was just 10 years old when she started getting paid for appearing on her family's E! reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The show has had 16 seasons since then, and the family inked a $150 million deal with the network for more seasons.

She still promotes clothing brands on social media. 4

Even if she has access to some of the most high-end designers in the world, Kylie still collects a paycheck by modeling clothes from fast fashion brands like Fashion Nova. She racks up an estimated $1 million per sponsored Instagram post, according to Hopper HQ.

She had her own spinoff series on E! 5

Kylie, who is rather private about her personal life, invited cameras into her day-to-day activities to show fans a glimpse into how she spends her time. The show only had one season, but she still made a pretty penny fom it.

Kylie has worked with some huge brands throughout her career. 6

She has lined herself up with deals with some of the biggest brands in the world. She joined Puma as one of the brand's ambassadors in 2017, which is a win-win for both her and the sportswear company.

Kylie joined the Adidas family like the rest of her loved ones. 7

Kylie left Puma to join Adidas as a brand ambassador in August 2018. She launched her own shoe, the Falcon, with the huge sports apparel brand, which also works closely with her brother-in-law, Kanye West.

She started selling Kylie Cosmetics at Ulta stores. 8

While her products were sold strictly online for years, Kylie began selling her lip kits at Ulta stores after signing a distribution deal with them in November 2018. The move fueled a 9% revenue increase for company and Kylie told Forbes she chose to do so because having her products in the store meant that it would give "people that would never buy my products online" access to her cosmetics.

Kylie also works with brands all around the world. 9

Kylie is her own brand worldwide and that helps her spread her businesses on an international level, which tends to bring in more money. She partnered with Australian company Quay to release her own collection of sunglasses.

She has worked with bigger brands to promote her product. 10

When Kylie Cosmetics launched in 2015, part of its appeal was that it was solely released online. Kylie then started testing out the waters of how the products would perform in retail stores and then began selling some of her makeup in stores like Top Shop in 2017, exposing it to a wider audience.

She shared a simple selfie wearing a Waist Gang Society faja in March 2018, and aside from getting 5 million likes on it, we can't even imagine how much money she racked up for it.
