Cardi B performed at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Friday, March 1 for a record-breaking crowd, even though she was feeling too unwell beforehand to rehearse. She had a migraine that was so bad that she had to have a doctor give her two shots, but as soon as she saw a picture of Selena Quintanilla backstage wearing the outfit that inspired Cardi's own outfit choice for her "Please Me" video with Bruno Mars, she took it as a sign. A good sign.

Cardi even thanked Selena via an Instagram post. In the post, she stands in front of the picture of Selena that made her feel like it was all gonna be "a'ight" and shares why that particular picture of Selena wearing that particular outfit means so much to her. Check it out!

This is the picture of Selena that made Cardi feel better.

"Hey guys, I just want to say that I'm honored for beating the rodeo, the Houston Rodeo Show [record]. I was so nervous to perform in front of 75,000 plus people, but when I saw this picture, out of all the outfits that she wore, for me to see this picture with this outfit, this was the inspiration for 'Please Me,' I knew I was going to be all right," she says in the video. If you watch until the end, you get to see her dance and sing along to "Como la Flor."

Here's the outfit that Cardi says Selena inspired.

Cardi announced on February 13 that she had a new song with Bruno Mars coming out at midnight on Friday, March 1, and teased it with a picture of her and Bruno. And yes, Cardi is channeling Selena in that outfit, don't you think?

Press play to see the video in all its explicity when the kids aren't around.

It's not shocking that Cardi is being all kinds of sexy in that Selena-inspired bustier or that she is as explicit as ever because that's what we've come to expect. But OMAIGA, gurrl, why compare your lady bits to horchata?!

March 1 was a BIG night for Cardi all the way around.

Her performance at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo broke the attendance record that had been held by Garth Brooks. She brought in 75,580 people, beating out the Garth Brooks record by three people.

She's on fire and can't be stopped.

She's breakin' records and makin' history. "Please Me" is Cardi's first release since becoming the first solo female EVER to win a Grammy for Best Rap Album. It's starting to look a lot like this is Cardi's world and we're just along for the ride.

Congrats, Cardi!
