She gave a candid interview about motherhood and her relationships.
Cardi made a splash during Super Bowl weekend, performing and making appearances as well as starring in a Pepsi commercial. She turned down an offer from Maroon 5 to join them for the Half Time show, but she still made her way to Atlanta for the celebrations. That means that she was forced to spend time away from her daughter, who stayed home, and she opened up to GMA in the interview published on Monday, February 4 about how it is to be apart from Kulture.
The rapper revealed that her fame and motherhood has completely changed her life.
The five-time Grammy nominee has been away from her six-month-old due to her work schedule and while she doesn't have much time to be social either, she feels no regrets. "I feel like, I don't know, I did the parties when I was young, in my 20s, 21. I'm 26 now, I work almost 24 hours [a day], I'm a mom. Hey listen, life changed like that," she said, snapping her fingers.
As difficult as it is to be away from her daughter, Cardi knows it's necessary to secure her future.
"It is hard. I just think to myself, like, her future is going to be so secure," she said. "Like, Oh My Gosh, she's going to have a lambo when she's, like, 18. But right now I gotta be on my grind." She also dropped a bombshell and revealed that she's planning on having more kids. Big sister Kulture better be ready!
It's great that they're staying together because it seems Kulture is a daddy's girl!
Cardi revealed on Sunday, February 3, that her little one said her first word and it was "papa"! The "I Like It" rapper previously tweeted about her fears that her daughter would say "dad" before "mom." She wrote: "If she says dada before mama imma feel very betrayed." Cardi will learn that when it comes to parenting, sometimes you will win some and sometimes you lose some.
