Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez's first meal after a 10-day detox diet got fans angry

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez put themselves and their fans to the test with a 10-day no sugar, no carbs challenge in January. It was a great way to detox and reset after indulging over the holidays. The couple posted updates along the way and even though they made it look easy, you could tell that they couldn't wait for it to be over.

They celebrated completing their strict diet in the most human way possible--two epic feasts! J.Lo and A-Rod made up for lost time with a huge spread that included pizza and french fries. They both went in again at dinner. It was so over-the-top that we couldn't help but laugh.

A-Rod announced the challenge with a fancy Instagram video.

You can see him and J.Lo going through a grueling workout at the gym. "We pinky promise," he captioned the video. "Join me and Jennifer for a 10-day challenge. No carbs, no sugar. Who’s in?" He asked his followers to tag their friends and join in on the challenge.


J.Lo said the challenge was feeling lonely and A-Rod was already showing signs of weakness by day three.

They asked friends like Leah Remini and Michael Strahan to join them in a hilarious video. "I cannot wait to eat a large pizza and buffalo wings when this is over," A-Rod said, and he wasn't lying.


He got way more than pizza and wings when the challenge was all said and done.

He got several pizza pies, a tower of wings, a bowl of fries, and dessert! "Top this," he captioned his return to the world of carbs. "How did you break the #10daychallenge?"

If you're asking yourself what was the point of this detox after looking at all of those carbs, A-Rod doesn't care.

He made no apologies for his choices after a follower tried calling him out for setting a bad example. When someone else asked him what was the point of detoxing he said, "No idea. Trying to figure this out." A-Rod's reactions gave us the feeling that maybe this was all J.Lo's idea. 


J.Lo shared another amazing meal from that day with her fans.

There were plenty of fried green plantains and sweet plantains to dig into, but at least there was also a healthy dose of vegetables to go along with it this time. Ha ha! "Worth the wait," she wrote.

It's not like J.Lo needed a lot of help.

She is well-known for eating healthy all year long. This is what she looked like by day four! Her fans left her countless compliments and many felt encouraged to join her in cutting out carbs and sugar for a few days.

We didn't think she could look more ripped than day four, but she proved us wrong with this photo. We don't know about A-Rod, but J.Lo might get some fans to turn a 10-day challenge into a lifetime challenge with results like this!
