The falling out allegedly started during Meghan’s royal wedding preparations.
She tied the knot with Prince Harry back in May.
Princess Charlotte was one of Meghan’s bridesmaids, and her dress fitting allegedly left her mom, Kate, in tears.
Meghan supposedly wanted "the very best" for her big day and Princess Charlotte’s fitting wasn’t up to par. The "stressful" incident brought Kate to tears. The Sun reported that royal aides didn’t deny that this version of events happened. They didn’t confirm it either. Meanwhile this story continued to float around. Rumors that Meghan and Kate are "very different people" added fuel to the fire.
This weekend, a new story about an alleged different fight between the women before Meghan’s wedding hit the press.
According to The Sun, Kate was mad at how Meghan was treating her staff at Kensington Palace. "That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them," Kate said to Meghan, according to The Sun’s source. "Her and Kate fell out when she b******ed Kate’s staff," they added. "It’s a tricky situation but it was a one-off and they are determined to maintain a positive relationship even though they are obviously very different in their approach."
Kate and Meghan both live in Kensington palace, but last month it was announced that Meghan and Harry were planning on moving out.
Meghan and Harry are moving to Queen Elizabeth II's Windsor Estate soon to "prepare for the arrival of their first child," Kensington Palace said in a statement reported by E! News. Their new space is a massive upgrade-- they will be going from their two-bedroom cottage to a newly renovated 10-bedroom cottage. Normally, most people wouldn’t bat an eye at a move like this, but given the current rumors about tension between the Duchesses is making people think twice. Maybe there is some truth to the drama.
There are also rumors of friction between Prince Harry and Prince William over Meghan.
The tension started after Harry and Meghan’s engagement. "Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so," an insider told Vanity Fair. "They had a bit of a fall out which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort. That’s when the Cambridges invited the Sussexes to spend Christmas with them."
But there are other sources who are spinning a much less toxic version of this story.
Prince Harry and Prince William are super tight siblings that have naturally grown slightly apart as their lives have changed. "Harry has married and is about to become a father, so it's a good time for him to be planning his own future," an insider told the Daily Mail. "There is no acrimony."
Meghan and Harry were supposedly considering moving out of Kensington Palace for a refreshing reason.
They allegedly want to raise their family out of the spotlight of Kensington Palace. But there was also a question of space. "The truth is that there simply isn't enough room at Kensington Palace for them and I know they have been looking at Windsor as a possibility since before the wedding," a source told the Daily Mail.
We may never know the real story here but it is clear that the royal family is experiencing a period of massive change.
Welcoming new people into any family is going to cause a shift in dynamics. Hopefully everything ends up working out for the royals.
