While it was believed that they had just separated, the documents obtained by Telemundo's Suelta La Sopa confirmed that they're already divorced. The pair tied the knot in a lavish wedding in Colombia in February 2017, and their divorce was finalized on Tuesday, August 21. The documents also explain details about spousal support and their prenuptial agreement.

The TV show revealed more details about the split.

The "X" singer is listed as the "Petitioner," who is the person who starts the court case by filing the Petition for a dissolution of marriage. According to the dates on the paperwork, Nicky filed on July 15 and the divorce was finalized a little over a month later, on August 21.

The couple came to an agreement on their separation before going to court.

The TV show reported that the pair filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" and details of their agreement are sealed and not available to the public.

The couple tied the knot twice.

The pair married in a civil ceremony in January 2017 and then had a star-studded ceremony in Medellín, Colombia, in March of that year. Celebrities including J Balvin and Vin Diesel attended the big event and it looked like a wedding straight out of a fairytale. The pair had a short relationship prior to walking down the aisle.

The couple selling their home previously raised flags about the state of their marriage.

Rumors first swirled that they had split after the reggaeton artist put their Miami mansion up for sale in June 2018 for $2.4 million, after they purchased it just months prior to their wedding. In a lengthy interview with Billboard, Nicky opened up about his marriage and about feeling lonely prior to meeting Angelica, despite being at the height of his career. "What’s the point of having all this if you don’t have anyone to share it with?" he said at the time.

In a radio interview with Jorge Pabón back in 2017, he opened up about his then-wife.

"She made me feel something I had never felt," he said about Angelica, whom he met through social media. "I felt very empty and now I get home and I feel I have a family," he said to the radio personality. "I feel like I work hard and I get home and there is someone waiting for me. I don’t come home to an empty house anymore."
