Chiquis has been bullied for years over her body.
Her curvy figure has been the punching bag for many of her haters. But the entertainer is proving that she loves herself despite all of the body shaming she has endured.
A nude black and white photo from the interview exposed all of her “imperfections.”
“Hi… I’m Janney,” she wrote on Instagram. “With scars, stretch marks, and cellulite! I’m not perfect, I’m sensitive, I’m… a WOMAN! Take it or leave it, this is me. This is who I am.”
Chiquis defended her decision to do the shoot on her Instagram Story.
She has been called fat in the past but she has been able to overcome the hate. Chiquis knew that a lot of people would criticize her over the Univision piece but she is proving that she doesn’t care what the haters say. “Basically this interview is like saying to the people who criticize and say bad things about me: I don’t care. Thank you. This is who I am. I am not perfect at all. Whether you like it or not, whether you like me or not, I like me, and that is the most important thing. Obviously there is room for improvement but that’s what I’m doing, working to be a better version of myself.”
The interview was as revealing as the images captured by photographer Harry Castiblanco.
Chiquis opened up about the strained relationship she had with her mother, Jenni Rivera, and talked about wanting her dad, José Trinidad Marín, in her life despite having been raped by him for years.
Chiquis isn't slowing down despite all of the trials and tribulations she has been through.
According to the article, she plans on coming out with new music next year where she might dabble in some reggaeton. We're sure that's not the only thing she has up her sleeve.
