J.Lo debuted the new track with a sexy performance on Thursday at the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Her moves in her naked bejeweld bodysuit matched the equally hot lyrics.
The song suggests that Lopez knows that she's amazing and rocks A-Rod’s world.
There are baseball references all over the song that will make you connect it to her relationship to Alex, even down to his jersey number with the Yankees. But the steamy hook is what is sending her fans of the couple over the edge.
“Nunca había sentido algo tan grande/Y me vuelve loca tu lado salvaje/Tú me has dado tanto que he estado pensando/Ya lo tengo todo, pero/¿Y el anillo pa’ cuando?” she sings.
Those lines translate to her never having felt this way before, his wild side drives her crazy, he has given her so much that it got her thinking, she already has it all but when will she get a ring?
J.Lo admitted that the song was inspired by their relationship.
In an interview on Apple Music's Beats 1 with Ebro Darden, it was clear that Jennifer anticipated that people would assume it was about Alex when the songwriter turned in "El Anillo."
Once everything clicked, A-Rod was 100% on board with J.Lo recording the song.
Jennifer told Ebro that Alex said "Yeah, baby, do it. That’ll be fun. I love the song.” He immideately moved on to asking her how she was going to dance to it. So cute!
Despite the A-Rod references in the song, J.Lo insisted that she is in no rush to get married.
"We're good right now, I'm not trying to rush anything," she said. "I've done that before to no avail. I'm a little bit more grown up now, and I like to let things take their natural course.”
J.Lo feels that the song is empowering to women in general who are at a place in society where they are standing up for themselves. "We’re like 'Yo this is not OK/this is OK, I want to be treated with respect, I want my place in your life, I want to be paid equally,' she told Ebro. "And my next two songs kind of deal with that. Where’s my ring, and where’s my money?”
But it seems like Alex is more ready than J.Lo to go down the aisle.
"#ElAnillo pa cuando...well I keep asking her!" he wrote on Twitter.
That tweet may have just been him having fun but we're keeping our eyes peeled.
The power couple could have a surprise up their sleeves.
