Pregnancy rumors had been circulating for weeks. The chismes initially started after the rapper performed at Brian Lara Car Park Stadium during Carnival in Trinidad. She wore a form-fitting jumpsuit that had everyone speculating about the little stomach pouch she was sporting. 

But rumors aside, the Dominican–Trinidadian singer continues to make us proud and will soon become the first celebrity ever to co-host The Tonight Show alongside Jimmy Fallon. She's on fire!

Cardi B revealed her baby bump on 'SNL'. 1

The rumors were true! The singer revealed her beautiful baby bump during her Saturday Night Live debut on April 7, 2018. The singer showed off her pregnancy wearing a tight white dress while performing new single "Be Careful."

"I’m finally free," she said in a video posted on social media, referring to the months of hiding her pregnancy amid all the rumors.

The singer will co-host The Tonight Show on Monday, April 9, 2018. This will be the first time ever the iconinc show fields a guest to co-host alongside Jimmy Fallon. You go, girl!

Just three years ago, the young girl from The Bronx was working as an exotic dancer at the strip joint Club Lust, in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park. And she is not a bit shy when it comes to talking about it.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the singer said: "People say, 'Why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it.'" And the answer is simple, "Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on… Just because somebody was a stripper don’t mean they don’t have no brain."

The singer said she became a stripper to escape domestic violence. 4

During a 2016 interview in 2016, the then reality TV star revealed she was in an abusive relationship when she decided to work as a stripper. "I was poor as hell. I was living with my ex-boyfriend that was beating my ass, I had to drop out of school. I was like living with his mama [and] two pit bulls, in a bedroom. It was crazy."

The singer added, "How was I going to leave if I only made $200 a week? Ain't no way." The singer added that stripping saved her life.

In January 2018, she was the third performer with five of the top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in a single week. This marked the first time a woman accomplished this since the list began in 1958.

In 2017, The Bronx native became the first solo female rapper to top Billboard’s Hot 100 chart (without the assistance of any other credited artists) in almost 20 years, thanks to her breakout anthem "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)." She also dethroned Taylor Swift, whose song "Look What You Made Me Do" had occupied the No. 1 spot for three consecutive weeks. 

"I loveee you all each and everybody contributed for this," Cardi B wrote on Instagram. "Ya made it happen for me !!!!! The number 1 WAY!!"


She's working on a collaboration with J.Lo. 7

The two Bronx natives met in October of 2017 and Cardi B was so excited to meet J.Lo that posted this photo and captioned it, "B*ttttchhhhh I met @jlo !!! BRONXTIVITY Bxfinest." Now, the two have worked on a song together. 

"I feel like you already know that I collaborated with Cardi B," J.Lo told Latina in February. "I do have a record coming out with her and it’s coming out soon. The name of the song is 'Dinero.' I don’t know what the video is going to be yet but we’ll see what we come up with."

The singer of Dominican descent received two nominations for "Bodak Yellow" —Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song—, becoming the only female nominated in both categories in 2018.

In October 2017, her man proposed to her on stage during her performance at Philadelphia's Power 99's Powerhouse concert, giving her a massive $500,000, eight-carat tear-shaped stone. 

"It makes me feel good. You know how when you get into bad arguments, you’ll be like, 'Do he really love me?' I’ll be like, 'He bought me a half-a-million-dollar ring. Yeah, he does,'" she jokingly told E! News on the 2018 Grammy's red carpet, adding, “We really want to get married this year.”

Although her mom is Trinidadian, Belcalis (her real name) grew up surrounded by her Dominican relatives, from her father's side. Growing up, she spent her time between Highbridge, a Latino neighborhood in the South Bronx, and Washington Heights, where her grandmother lives. She speaks Spanish fluently, with a very distinct Dominican accent. 

She has spoken openly about her plastic surgeries. 12

The singer has admitted to fixing her teeth, getting a boob job, getting "illegal" butt injections in Queens and lipo to get a "perfect body."

By browsing through her social media pictures one can easily see that the singer maintains a very close relationship to her family. Her niece and grandmother often make an appearance on her social media feeds and she even took her sister Hennessy to the Grammys.
