This photo from Selena Quintanilla's funeral has resurfaced & gone viral

A photo from Selena Quintanilla's funeral has resurfaced.

It's been 23 years since Mexican tejano singer Selena Quintanilla passed, yet she still very much lives in many of our hearts. We get hyped every time an old school photo of her resurfaces, but what we didn't expect, was a photo from her funeral to reappear all over the internet.

More from MamásLatinas: A throwback of Selena Quintanilla posing in a bikini has just resurfaced & we're still obsessed

According to Telemundo, an unpublished photo of the singer's funeral has resurfaced online. In the photo, a deceased Selena is seen lying in her coffin surrounded by mourning fans. But what's strange is that this photo even exists. Telemundo claims that the family did not allow cameras to have any access to the funeral service. Clearly, that wasn't the case.

The photo was taken from far away.

You can’t see Selena up close, but you can make out that she’s wearing purple. It appears that no one was allowed to come close to the casket, most likely a request made by the family.

This isn’t the first time something has resurfaced from her funeral.

In 2016, footage of her actual funeral that took place on April 3, 1995, resurfaced online. You can even see a close up of Selena and her devastated widower, Chris Perez.

The purple outfit she's seen wearing at her funeral isn't the famous jumpsuit she wore at her last concert performance.

It looks more like this outfit.

The anniversary of Selena’s death is only a few weeks away.

We will never forget her and the impact she had on this world.
