LISTEN: Jennifer Lopez & Lin-Manuel Miranda honor the Orlando shooting victims
While most people were BBQing or hitting up the beach during the Fourth of July weekend, Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda were working on a very special collaboration. The two got together to work on a new single benefiting the victims of the Pulse nightclub mass shooting in Orlando.

J.Lo shared a teaser of the new song titled, "Love Makes the World Go Round," on Instagram this Monday. Miranda posted the same video on his Twitter account.
"What we got is love even when the sinners hate us. We cannot let them diminish or intimidate us," Miranda is heard rapping. "We sing out, we got the rhythm and the truth on our side. We cut through the divide and we do it with pride."
Not only is the single a tribute to the victims of the tragic Orlando shooting, but the proceeds from the download of the track will actually be going to the Hispanic Federation's Proyecto Somos Orlando.
We have to hand it to J.Lo and Lin-Manuel Miranda. There's definitely something very selfless about working on a project that helps serve a community during a holiday weekend. The shooting wasn't just devastating for the LGBTQ community but also for the Latino community. Keep in mind, the majority of the victims from the shooting were Latino.
I'm proud to see these two coming together in support of the tragedy and can't wait to hear the full version of the track. Until then, check out the clip above!
