Miss BumBum paints Virgin Mary on her body & it's not okay (PHOTO)
You know you're looking for attention when you paint an image of the sacred Virgin Mary on your body. That's exactly what Miss BumBum Brazil Indianara Carvalho did in her "honor" on Good Friday. You know, because posting a beautiful respectful image of the saint just wouldn't have been original enough. This woman is out of her mind! Wait until you see the complete drawing on her body. You're going to be stunned!

I was raised in the Santería religion, which is largely influenced by Catholicism. While I don't consider myself super religious in the traditional sense, I'm still greatly offended by this woman's lack of respect for the saints. Her caption for the image included, "Good Friday. Lord, on this day I ask for peace, love, wisdom and strength."
There's no way she did something like this out of good faith! Last year, the Brazilian model infamously underwent surgery to become a virgin again. She had her hymen restored and said she was waiting for the right person to lose it to. I think Carvalho was trying to play off of her mission to be a virgin again, but getting naked and painting the Virgin Mary on your body just seems like an absurd way to go.
People on her page went nuts blasting her for posting the offensive image. One woman wrote, "I hope you realize how wrong this is before it's too late. I feel sorry for you! Pathetic!" Funny enough, some thought that her painting was artistic and not shameful at all. A male fan posted, "People getting mad at this? I think it's beautiful, it's just human body art."
I personally see it as blatantly disrespectful. Yes, there's a right to free expression, but that doesn't mean you have a right to taint a sacred symbol that represents peace and holiness and taint it. Maybe a priest should sit her down for a lesson.
