Khloe Kardashian's KKK joke is NOT funny
Given the Kardashians' eclectic dating histories, you'd think they would have learned by now how to be more, I don't know, racially sensitive. Negative. Khloe Kardashian basically put her foot in her mouth yesterday when she shared a stupid and wholly insensitive meme on comparing herself and her sisters to the…KKK? Really, Khloe? I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually expected more from you.

If Kim broke the internet with her greasy butt Tuesday, Khloe put it out of its misery when she posted the "distasteful" meme of all three Kardashian sisters on Instagram yesterday, overlaid with the words, "The Only KKK To Ever Let Black Men In." And as if that weren't enough, Khloe went ahead and cosigned the sentiment, writing "true" below the distasteful post. At first, I thought Khloe had been hacked. There's no way she would be so stupid as to post this, right? RIGHT?!?! But, alas, this was the real deal. Though the offensive meme has since been removed, a screenshot of it continues to live on in internet infamy.
Mira, I get that Khloe was trying to make light of the Kardashians' and Jenners' penchant for dating black men--as well as their love for all things that start with the letter "K," but she took this "joke" a little too far. I'm not the only person who thinks so. Though she's often regarded as a fan favorite, Khloe earned the ire of countless fans, as well as several high-profile editors. Ebony's Senior Digital Editor Jamilah Lemieux lashed out at the reality star last night, tweeting "Date the whole NBA, who cares? But show a modicum of respect. The Klan killed and terrorized our people." True that. The Ku Klux Klan is a despicable group of bigots. Why would you want to compare yourself to them? Ugh.
To be fair, Khloe's sister Kourtney's longtime love Scott Disick posted the same meme on his Instagram. However, he seems to have received significantly less backlash. I don't know, I guess people just expect such douchery from Scott. Khloe, on the other hand…I guess we all just expected more. Personally, Khloe used to be my favorite Kardashian. She's outspoken, and relatively grounded compared to her sisters. Her "keep it real" attitude makes her so relatable. But now? Yo no sé. It's hard to relate to someone who thinks making tongue in cheek jokes about the KKK is hi-larious.
