mariah carey and nick cannon splitSo it sounds like rumors about Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon splitting weren't just all talk. Cannon himself confirmed today that they've been living in separate houses for months. "There is trouble in paradise," said the 33-year-old host of America's Got Talent in an exclusive interview with "The Insider with Yahoo".

Although Cannon declined to get into the details of their separation, he denied it had anything to do with infidelity. A source close to him and 44-year-old Mariah, said they've been living separately since May.

The couple, who celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary in April, decided to renew their vows in a low key ceremony this time around, compared to years past when they went all out, including one that took place in Disneyland in 2013. Maybe that should've been a sign that, indeed, there is trouble in paradise.

Another indication could be that the last picture of them together was posted to social media back on Father's Day, where they could be seen as what can only be described as a happy family together with their 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

Meanwhile, Mariah hasn't said a word about the sad news and her publicist refused to comment saying the artist is "focusing on her children and her upcoming tour."

Back in 2008 when the two got secretly married just six weeks after they met, an obviously madly-in-love Mariah told People that they really felt like they were "soul mates." So much for that ...

I hope whatever ends up happening they never forget that two most important people in this difficult situation should always be their little ones.
