Will & Jada Smith under investigation after daughter Willow's racy pic goes viral

smith familyAfter Willow Smith's latest antics, it was only a matter of time before her parents got in trouble. The 13-year-old's famous parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are reportedly under investigation by the Los Angeles Department of Children's Services after those sketchy pictures of Willow surfaced two weeks ago. If you recall, the picture shows Willow in bed with shirtless 20-year-old Disney actor Moises Arias.

Jada retaliated against the media and said the picture was innocent and not as bad as it was being made out to be. Well, looks like the government is taking it seriously and the Smith's are no exception to the law.

A source told Radaronline.com that the investigation has been underway since last week after the controversial picture surfaced. They said, "Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren't happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.''

The parents, who have been criticized in the past for their super liberal parenting style, have always defended themselves. Willow's dad, Will, has openly said that he and Jada don't believe in punishing their kids and that he prefers they learn from their own mistakes. This might be a good method for children when they are older, but when they are as young as Willow, this can pose a problem.

Child's Services is also investigating the fact that Willow was at the popular music festival Coachella recently and based off her Instagram pictures there was no parental supervision. The case is so serious that the source says the family will be under the government's radar for at least a while. They explained, "Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won't just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution."

Oh boy, looks like the Smith's have a lot to worry about now. If they have been this free with Willow, I'm afraid to hear about what else the Department of Children's Services is going to dig up. I'm not surprised that this came back to bite them in the butt though. There is a difference between being a good parents and being a friend--and at Willow's age you must enforce the former first. Hopefully there aren't too many skeletons in their closet because this can severely tarnish their reputations.
