Biggest stoner ever Keith Richards releasing children's book & it's hilarious
When I found out that Keith Richards, THE Keith Richards of Rolling Stones fame, is releasing a children's book in September to be illustrated by his daughter Theodora Richards, I had to check and make sure I wasn't high or having some kind of flashback. I mean no disrespect to Richards, but children's book author is not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of him. What could this book be about? How to rock hard, party harder and look like an old man way before you actually become an old man? No, it's actually a lot sweeter than that.

The book is called Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar and is about the relationship between Keith Richards and his maternal grandfather, Theodore Augustus Dupree. Dupree was a jazz musician and encouraged Richards to take up the guitar. Thank you very much Mr. Dupree as countless people have enjoyed your grandson's guitar playing.
What would make Richards want to write a children's book about his grandfather? He says:
I have just become a grandfather for the fifth time, so I know what I'm talking about. The bond, the special bond, between kids and grandparents is unique and should be treasured. This is a story of one of those magical moments. May I be as great a grandfather as Gus was to me.
Isn't that sweet? It's possible that I may have to change the way I think of Keith Richards. Instead of the hard-living, hard rocking man that has always come to mind, I may have to start thinking of him as a sweet children's book author.
