Shakira & Milan visit Colombia together for first time!
Shakira has just experienced another big milestone with her 1-year-old son, Milan! This week, the singer and her little guy took their first-ever trip to Colombia together, the country where she herself grew up and first kicked off her career. Aww ... looks like little Milan is about to get the cultural experience of a lifetime!

The mother-son duo has taken several international trips together before (spending a lot of time in Barcelona, with Milan's soccer star dad Gerard Piqué, as well as a short period in France) and Shaki has already started passing on some Colombian traditions to her son (like the "caga tió" at Christmas). But, they haven't yet made it back the place where Shaki still calls home to this day--until now!
According to Spanish-language publication El Nuevo Día, the singer is visiting Cartagena while attending a school opening in support of her charity, Fundación Pies Descalzos, and decided it was the perfect opportunity to bring Milan along. "This is the first time I've brought my son Milan to my country, which is his country too," Shakira said at the event. "I'm really excited too because he just got his official Colombian passport."
Given how obviously proud she is of her background, I'm pretty sure Shaki's been dying to bring her son to Colombia ever since she first had him. So I can only imagine how much it means to her to introduce him to her country and share this special first visit together. Hopefully, she'll share some pictures with the rest of us! Have a great trip, Shak and Milan!
