Rosie Perez opens up about bitter Jennifer Lopez feud
It looks like Rosie Perez and Jennifer Lopez have some unresolved beef. Rosie recently released her new memoir, Handbook for an Unpredictable Life (which hits stands on February 25), where she opens up about her long-lasting feud with J.Lo. Apparently their issues go back to their days on In Living Color. Based on what Perez reveals in her book, I think it's safe to assume that Lopez has always been a diva--and I don't mean that in a good way!

According to Perez, the two boricuas met during a casting call for the show's Fly Girl dancers back in 1991. As you probably know, Perez was the popular Fly Girl choreographer on the show, at least she was before Lopez got picked. But even though J.Lo is constantly crediting In Living Color host and creator Keenan Ivory Wayans for selecting her for one of the Fly Girls, Perez says she's actually the one who picked her. She swears that Wayans originally found Jennifer "chubby and corny." Wow, can we say low blow?
Rosie Perez claims that Jennifer wasn't a walk in the park either. "All of the girls were coming into my office complaining how she was manipulating wardrobe, makeup, and me, all to her advantage," she writes in her memoir. She even wrote that Lopez was convinced all the girls were just "jealous" of her.
But Perez's real issues with J.Lo started after she "went off" on her like "some ghetto biatch," to quote her exactly. She writes that Jennifer literally stormed in one day pounding her chest and shouting, "You pick on me, me and only me, every f---ing day! Every f---ing day! I work my ass off, deliver and you keep pushing me aside, treat me like s--t! I know I'm good! I'm better than any of these girls, and you know it."
Since then, Perez hasn't been able to squash the beef between them. She writes that Lopez ran into her a few years later at a night club and was surprisingly friendly. "Jennifer came over to me, smiling, saying hello as if nothing had happened. I should've let it go, played it off, too," she writes. "Instead, I killed her with my biting tongue."
I don't know how true Perez's accusations are, but one thing's for sure: It's about time homegirl lets her issues with J.Lo go. Life is way too short to be holding grudges!
