Demi Lovato's shocking cocaine confession!
Though Demi Lovato has always been pretty open about her past struggles with depression and substance abuse, she's never revealed just how bad her addiction really was ... until now. In her most shocking and candid interview yet, the X-Factor judge told Access Hollywood that her drug use once got to the point where she couldn't even go "30 minutes to an hour" without cocaine!

The 21-year-old star, who sought help at a treatment facility in 2010 and has documented her struggle in her memoir Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year, says she used to go to extreme lengths to use the drugs whenever she could and confessed:
I couldn't go without 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on airplanes. I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep and I would do it right there ...That's how difficult it got and that was even with somebody [with me], I had a sober companion, somebody who was watching me 24/7 and living with me [and] I was able to hide it from them as well.
How is that even possible? Lovato says she is "very, very good at manipulating people" and used to lie to everyone around her "so that everything looked OK on the outside." She hit her lowest point ever at the age of 19, when she found herself throwing up on a car ride to the airport, holding a Sprite bottle filled with just vodka at nine in the morning.
"I had all the help in the world, but I didn't want it," she said. "When I hit that moment I was like, it's no longer fun when you're doing it alone." That was when she realized her behavior wasn't just a rebellious teenage phase, but an actual addiction that required treatment.
Wow. I can't help but be more than a little shocked at her confession. We've all heard her talk about the demons she's faced in the past, but I don't think anyone had any idea how dark things really got for her. Though it's sad and scary to know that she went through all of that at such a young age (and that so many other young stars deal with the same thing), hearing just how far she spiraled it out of control only make its all the more amazing that she was able to seek help and bounce back better than ever. Hopefully, her story will inspire others who are struggling with similar problems to do the same.
