Rosie Rivera spills all the deets about giving birth to her baby girl
Rosie Rivera, the sister of the late Mexican singer Jenni Rivera, has revealed exclusively to People en Español the details behind the birth of her baby girl Samantha Chay. Rosie named her daughter after a family nickname given to Jenni who passed away last December in a tragic plane accident.
Much like Jenni, Rosie admits that their family is crazy and says that her birthing experience reflected just that!

Rosie wanted to share her experience with Jenni's fans and, boy, is it not what you would expect! She says she had been at Jenni's home by herself when her water broke. She thought the labor pains would take a while which is why she went about the day like normal and took a shower.
The problem was Samantha had other plans and started giving Rosie serious contractions. Rosie even admits that the pain was so bad that she rushed out of the house in just her bra and a skirt to alert her husband, Abel Flores. She thought Samantha would wait to be born by the time she arrived at the hospital, but instead she got ahead of herself. Midway during their drive to the hospital, Rosie called 911 for assistance and was told to wait for an ambulance to come.
Much to their surprise Samantha's head was practically out and her husband delivered their newborn "Sammy," as the Riveras call the newborn. Thankfully Samantha was born healthy and Rosie herself was fine, but what a crazy story!
I'm glad to hear that the new addition to the Rivera family was healthy and I'm sure Samantha is going to love to hear this story when she's older. She will probably wish she met her tía who had such an untimely death ... or who knows, maybe she'll follow in her footsteps. One thing for sure is Samantha is going to grow up in a tight-knit clan!
