'The Voice': Contestants bring the heat as battle rounds intensify!

The Voice continued with its battle rounds tonight and the competiton between both the contestants and the coaches definitely reached a new level of intensity! With Adam and CeeLo each still holding on to both of their steals at the beginning of the night and Christina holding on to one, all bets were off! So who ended up getting saved and who went home?

Team Xtina's Matthew Schuler and Jacob Poole were up first, taking on Fall Out Boy's "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark." It was a great, energetic performance and both have gritty rock voices that were really well suited to the song. It was one of the rare battle rounds that was extremely evenly matched and I honestly had no idea how Christina was going to decide! Ultimately though, she chose Matthew as the winner.

R. Anthony and Kat Robichaud of Team CeeLo took the stage next, singing Aerosmith's classic song "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing." Personally, I can't help but be drawn to R. Anthony's sweet and soulful voice. But there's absolutely no denying that Kat is equally talented and she definitely has a fierce stage presence. It was a tough call for CeeLo, but he ended up picking Kat.

Monika Leigh and Ray Boudreaux of Team Blake went head to head, singing "Some Kind of Wonderful." Blake explained he paired them because of their bluesy undertones and that definitely came across in their fun, upbeat performance, which was honestly one of my favorites of the night! Most of the coaches seemed split down the middle, but it all came down to Blake and his final decision was to go with Ray. But all hope wasn't lost for Monika! CeeLo ended up using one of his steals to save her!

The battle rounds continue next week and I can't wait to see how those will play out. One thing's for sure--the talent level on the show only seems to continue rising and with a few steals left on the table, things are sure to get even more heated.
