Piolin por la mañana: Radio host finally speaks up & defends himself (VIDEO)

The debut of Eddie "El Piolin" Sotelo on Sirius XM radio is probably near because the embattled host has ended his self-imposed silence and is finally speaking to the press, even sitting down for his first interviews since the sexual harassment scandal first broke out. He's now defending himself against all the accusations that have been made ... but his defense has been a little confusing. I swear I don't fully understand it!

Sotelo spoke exclusively to People en Español magazine from his house in L.A. and allowed his family and kids to be photographed for the first time. I'm sure he did this to make himself more known to those who don't know much about him and to clear up any doubts raised by the lawsuits about his sexual orientation. "I never mistreated or harassed my colleagues," he told the glossy. "If the jokes on the show were misinterpreted, none of them ever told me that." In other words, he probably did say some heavy maybe even inappropriate jokes ... something I had feared.
Aside from this interview, the 42-year-old host spoke to Telemundo's Carmen Dominici, the host of Al Rojo Vivo and he insisted that he was the victim of a conspiracy against him, as she teased on her Twitter account about the upcoming interview. He also told her that the same people that are now suing him had initially sent him messages of support when he was ousted from Univision Radio without warning.

All that's left to see is the details of what he says. The interview with People en Español will hit stands at the beginning of October. Telemundo's interview is this afternoon. It's clear though that Piolín isn't lacking in anything material, shall we say. The host lives with his wife, María Luisa, and his two kids, Edward and Daniel, in a humongous mansion in the hills of Los Angeles. Besides, I know his contract with Sirius must be pretty expensive.

Stay tuned, I'll bring you more chisme on this case later after the show!
