Jessica Alba, 32 1
No mom is perfect--not even Jessica Alba! In an interview with Latina.com, the Mexican American actress explained that there's no such thing as a perfect parent. "I always feel like I am compromising something. But at the end of the day my kids' happiness is all that really matters, so everything else comes after that…As long as they’re happy, my mind is free," said Alba, who has two daughters, 5-year-old Honor Marie and 2-year-old Haven Garner with husband Cash Warren. We love that Alba keeps it real with her fellow moms and we also love that she penned the book The Honest Life--which offers tips on creating a healthy, eco-friendly lifestyle for your family. Jessica, you’re pretty perfect to us!
Jennifer Lopez, 44 2
La Lopez isn’t JUST a superstar in the music world--she’s also a superstar mom! So where does the Puerto Rican actress/producer/network owner/American Idol judge get her badass parenting skills? From her own mamá, that’s where! "I was lucky and I was raised by a great mom who was fun and loved music and was young and vibrant and I took that with me," Lopez--who’s mom to 5-year-old twins Max and Emme--said in an interview with People Magazine."I think it’s inevitable that you pick up on the way that you were raised and that’s how you do it," she added. Still, Lopez says she and her mom Guadalupe’s parenting styles aren’t exactly alike. "She was much more traditional," Lopez says. "But me and my sister [former TV anchor Lynda Lopez] take more of a talking approach and we believe that they’re little adults and that they deserve to be listened to," she says.
Evelyn Lozada, 37 3
The Puerto Rican Basketball Wives star (and our Mommy Makeover blogger!) has an amazing relationship with her daughter, Shaniece Hairston, who’s currently in college. "My priority has always been to take care of my daughter Shaniece first," Lozada, who had Shaniece at 17, tells MamasLatinas.com. After having Shaniece at a young age, the reality star and entrepreneur got a job, her own apartment, and did what any great mom would do: put her daughter (and her daughter’s needs) first. "I have always been there to encourage my daughter, support and praise her," says Lozada. And for that Evelyn, we applaud you!
Salma Hayek Pinault, 46 5
Speaking of fabulous moms, they don’t get more fabulous than Salma Hayek! The Mexican American actress is mom to 4-year-old Valentina Paloma and even though Hayek is one smart cookie, the really great thing about her as a mom is that she knows her daughter is smart, too. "I just stay out of her way!" Hayek said in an interview with Redbook Magazine. "I have a really smart daughter, and I'm sure every mother out there feels exactly the same as I do," added Hayek, who recalled a hilarious exchange with her brainy daughter. "She said to me, 'Mommy, how come you get to boss me around, but I don't get to boss you around?' And I said, 'It's my privilege as your mother.' And she said, 'Well what is it that gives you that privilege? And what can I do to have that privilege too?' " Hilarious!
Mariah Carey, 43 6
What makes Mariah Carey such an awesome Latina mom? Well, a few things, actually. First of all, when she was pregnant with her twins Morrocan and Monroe, the part-Venezuelan singer and her husband Nick Cannon referred to their future kids as "Dem babies" (that’s hilarious!). Secondly, Mariah took the best (and most adorable) family Christmas photos ever with her kids. And lastly, when the singer delivered her twins via C-section, a live version of her hit song "Fantasy," played in the background, with dad Nick playing DJ. "The only reason I wanted the live version was so they could hear the applause upon entering the world," Carey said. We LOVE fabulous moms who go all out for their kids and that’s why Mariah makes our list!
La La Anthony, 34 7
The Puerto Rican reality star (and former MTV VJ) has a 6-year-old son named Kiyan with NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony and despite their status as a bona fide super couple, the proud parents have managed to raise a very humble little boy. How humble exactly? Well, let’s just say Kiyan doesn’t even know his parents are famous! "In his mind, everybody’s dad plays basketball and he’s like, 'Oh, there’s Daddy! There’s Kobe! There’s LeBron! There’s D-Wade!' " Anthony revealed in an interview, adding: "He told me one day, 'I know why everyone wants to take a picture with you. Because you’re pretty!' I said, 'Well, why does everyone want to take a picture with Dad?' And he said, 'Because he’s tall!' " Way to raise a humble and smart young man, La La!
Alana de la Garza, 37 8
She’s best known as A.D.A. "[The second I saw her] I was just overwhelmed with pure joy and love," de la Garza said of Liv’s arrival in July. "I know it sounds cliché, but that’s exactly how I felt ... It feels like our little family is complete. She’s been here a week and I just can’t imagine our lives without her." So just how cool of a mom is Alana, anyway? Well, her kids are teaching her Spanish! "When he was just over a year old, [Kieran] pointed to our Christmas tree and started repeating something over and over," she says. "He was getting frustrated because I wasn’t understanding what he was saying. Ten minutes later I realized he was saying tree in Spanish!" she says of her son who’s a big fan of Dora the Explorer. How cute is that?!

The actress says she learned a lot about parenting from her character on the hit show. "I learned from Theresa to relax a little bit. I get too uptight and worried. My tendency is to panic, but Theresa is half crazy, you have to be in order to marry into a wizard family. So I am learning to roll with the punches," the badass mom tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. We’re big fans of Christy Turlington’s work as a model (who isn't?) but we're also huge fans of her non-profit organization Every Mother Counts (EMC)--whose goal is to prevent the nearly 300,000 maternal deaths that occur every year around the world. The part-Salvadorean model--who has two children with actor and director Ed Burns--created the organization following her own post-birth scare. "I had complications. I hemorrhaged after delivering Grace, my first, in 2003. This was after a great pregnancy and birth," Turlington has revealed. "At the time, it was half a million women dying from pregnancy- and childbirth-related complications every year, and my particular complication is a leading cause of death." Turlington says she picks her modeling jobs these days based on the exposure they can bring to the organization. Christy, you are helping so many women and saving lives. And for that, we salute you!

"Sometimes she’s like, 'Mommy, let’s play Brave,' so we literally reenact scenes from the movie," she says, adding that Leila is also fond of directing. "She does the lines and then we switch roles and she goes, 'No! Don’t say it like that. This is impossible!' She’ll probably be a director," she adds. Props to Judy for raising such a determined and artistic little girl!

"These days, Sofia and Cecilia are playing 'businesswomen.' They dress up, usually as Cinderella and Belle, put little handbags on their arms and push their strollers around the apartment. When I ask where they're going, one will say: 'I'm off to a meeting, Mommy. I love you, and I'll see you later,' " she shared on WorkingMother.com. That's SO cute!
