The 2013 Emmy Awards are this Sunday and I'm crazy excited! Not only are three of my favorite Latino celebrities nominated for awards, but there's also going to be a special memorial dedicated to the Hollywood icons that passed this year, including James Gandolfini, Jean Stapleton, and Glee star Cory Monteith. This year our Latino nominees include Homeland actress Morena Baccarin for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama, Louis C.K. for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and Modern Family star Sofia Vergara for Outstanding Supporting Actress. This is the third time in a row Sofia is nominated in a comedy section so I'm hoping the third time's the charm!

We've had quite a few Latin male actors take home Emmy awards over the past years, but as far as women go it's just been Rita Moreno and America Ferrera. Isn't that nuts? So it's about time we get another Latina winner. We're counting on you Morena and Sofia! With that said, here's a look at our Latino Emmy winners over the years!

The Puerto Rican icon was actually the first and ONLY Hispanic to have won an Emmy back in 1977. She was awarded Outstanding Supporting Actress for her appearance on The Muppet Show along with Outstanding Lead Actress for her guest appearance on the NBC drama series The Rockford Files in 1978. I should also mention she was the first Hispanic to have won a Grammy award, Oscar, and Tony!

You probably recognize him from his role as Abraham Quintanilla in the 1997 flick Selena. But the Mexican actor also won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work in the classic TV series Miami Vice. He played a total badass on that show!

The Puerto Rican actor has landed more Emmy nominations than any other Latino ever--12 to be exact! But he won his first and only Emmy for his supporting role as Victor Sifuentes in the drama series L.A. Law. Aren't you surprised he hasn't taken more home?

Remember Dirty Dancing? Kenny was the one who choregraphed all those steamy dances. But that's not what the Spanish director won an Emmy for, obviously! He landed awards for the teen Disney movie High School Musical and XIX Winter Olympics Ceremony.
