Emmy Awards 2013: What to look forward to this year!

The 2013 Emmy Awards are this Sunday and there's already been a ton of buzz over what the audience expect--from funny presenters to predicted winners--on this year's show. And from what I've heard so far, it sounds like viewers are definitely in for one memorable night. So what are just some of the things to look forward to this time around?

Personally, I'm really excited to see all of the Latino nominees go head-to-head with some of their peers for some of the biggest prizes of the night. I'm especially hoping to see Sofia Vergara take home an award for Oustanding Supporting Actress! The Modern Family star has been nominated three times in a row in the comedy section, but lost out twice to co-star Julie Bowen. Hopefully, this will be her year!

I also have high expectations for Homeland actress, Morena Baccarin, who is up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama. As for the guys, I think funnyman Louis C.K., who won for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series last year, has it in the bag.

But the show isn't just about the nominees. This year, they've planned a special memorial to some of the Hollywood icons we lost this year, including James Gandolfini and Jean Stapleton. Glee star Cory Monteith will also get an individual tribute--a decision that has stirred up some controversy since his career was shorter than other stars, but that I think will probably mark a beautiful and heartfelt moment in Emmy's history. After all, all these stars were immensely talented and are greatly missed.

Of course, we can also expect tons of lighthearted and fun moments from host Neil Patrick Harris. He always manages to strike just the right balance between funny and respectful and does a great job livening up the whole night. I can't wait what he has up this sleeve for this year!
