Ben Affleck is newest Batman, but these 5 Latino actors would've nailed the part too!
Ben Affleck is officially the newest Batman! The actor will play Bruce Wayne in the still untitled upcoming superhero flick, Warner Brothers Studio announced yesterday.
The movie, which is slated to be released July 17, 2015, is a sequel to the studio's recent Man of Steel and will feature both Batman and Superman, played by Henry Cavill. Affleck and Cavill will be joined by co-stars, Amy Adams (returning as Lois Lane) and Diane Lane.

Affleck will be the eighth person to don Batman's cape, following in the footsteps of George Clooney, Michael Keaton and most recently, Christian Bale.
"We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some. His outstanding career is a testament to his talent and we know he and Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this character," Warner Bros. exec Greg Silverman said in the announcement.
I have to admit, I'm not altogether surprised by the choice. In recent years, Affleck has reminded everyone of his serious acting (and directing) chops with his dramatic roles in movies like The Town and three-time Oscar winning Argo. With his ability to take on more complicated character while still maintaining that Bruce Wayne-like charm, I can definitely understand why they'd pick him.
But while I think he'll do a good job, there are also several Latino actors who I think could be worthy of playing the part as well. Check them out below:

Like Affleck, Bardem has previously proven his ability to take on complex, at times downright dark, characters, which makes me think he would have no problem stepping into Bruce Wayne's shoes.
