BREAKING NEWS: Jenni Rivera confirmed dead after plane crash
We have just gotten confirmation of the death of Jenni Rivera, also known as La Diva de la Banda. The 43-year-old Mexican singer was traveling via a Lear Jet from Monterrey to the town of Toluca in México. The plane appears to have crashed six to seven minutes after takeoff, and went missing in the Galeana area with its seven passengers.
Jenni leaves behind five children: Jenny (Chiquis) Marín (1985), Jacqi Marín (1990), Michael Marín (1992), Jenicka López (1998) and Johnny Ángel López (2002), as well as two grandchildren, her parents and siblings.
Joaquín López Doriga, one of the most renowned Mexican journalists, as well as the Town Hall of Nuevo León confirmed the fact that the remainders of the plane have been found.
First news of the disappearance of the plane Jenni was traveling in shocked the Latin community here in the United States as well as México, and a deep sadness has been evident by her millions of fans worldwide.
The other passengers in the jet were pilots Miguel Pérez and Alejandro Torres, and five passengers that included Jenni, her publicist Arturo Rivera and her makeup artist.
