The Voice is officially down to its last 10 contestants. After another round of amazing performances in last night's episode,  America has made it's choice and two singers--though very talented-- were sent home. And I have to admit, I was kind of surprised by the final decision!

Before revealing which contestants remained and which were sent home, Christina Aguilera took the stage to perform "Make the World Move," a single from her new album that features co-star Cee Lo Green! And maaan, do those know how to put on a show! Aguilera, rocking a pink fro (seriously) and a corset with a full skirt, and Green, carrying a scepter (yes, an actual scepter), looked like they were having a blast, dancing around on stage to the upbeat song....which, by the way, I couldn't help but love. It's just so catchy!

But though their performance was great, afterwards, it was time to get down to business. The contestants who made it through were announced in pairs. The first to be saved? Latino vocalist from Team Adam, Bryan Keith! Yes!! I'm so excited for him! He deserves it after consistently giving stellar performances.

Sylvia Yacoub, Dez Duron (both from Team Xtina), Nicholas David, Trevin Hunte (Team Cee Lo) and Cassadee Pope (Team Blake) were the next to move on. No surprises there! All have long since been fan favorites and were voted through after the first batch of live shows. As I said after yesterday's episode, I myself was blown away by Hunte and David.

What I was surprised by was the decision to send powerhouse Latina singer Adriana Louise and punk rock teen Michaela Paige home. Though I know two people had to go home, I still thought they deserved to be in the competition. The good news is that they are very young and so they still have plenty of time to succeed.

But though it was sad to see them go, I was SO relieved to see that 17-year-old Melanie Martinez and Team Cee Lo member Cody Belew secured their spots! I think they have been the most underrated performers of the entire competition and I'm so glad that America recognized their unique talents and saved them.

Unfortunately, viewers will have to experience another night full of mixed emotions next week when the contestants go head to head in the next round of live shows! So who will once again keep their place in the competition? Guess we'll have to watch to find out!
