The Presidential election is officially over and although it was tight race, President Barack Obama has been re-elected! All eyes were on the President and his opponent, but the public didn't forget that some of our favorite Hollywood stars were also a big part of the election.
From Eva Longoria to Nicole Richie, Latinos everywhere were lining up at the polls to vote for their candidate of choice. "It was a huge night for a lot of people. For women …A huge night for the LGBT [community] that showed up for the president," Eva said. "And of course it was a huge night for Latinos, and I was very happy to be a part of that." Naturally as Americans, we take great pride in living in a democratic society where we can choose our leaders. So it was no surprise when Latino stars were sharing with their fans their firsthand election pictures!
I made sure to vote in the presidential election yesterday no matter how late I left work and couldn't feel prouder to have done so. We only get this opportunity every four years, so we should take advantage of it when we can. Throughout the race, many celebrities voiced their opinions on the candidates they supported and even went as far as showing up to conventions--but none put in a much work as Eva Longoria, who passionately campaigned for Obama. Check out her speech at the 2012 DNC:
