'Glee' recap: Sarah Jessica Parker shows up as Kurt's editor at Vogue.com and ROCKS it! (VIDEO)
Well, the guest stars on Glee just keep on coming! We've already got Kate Hudson playing Rachel's evil dance teacher at NYADA in New York City and now she's joined by another stylish lady, Sarah Jessica Parker!
In a role that seems pretty perfect for her, SJP is an editor at Vogue.com who hires the very fashionable Kurt, who's in NYC to reapply for NYADA next semester and simply to move on form Ohio. The episode was filled with lots of fun, though, including a dance number in the couture vault. Of course, as always, there was also PLENTY of drama!
The show was pretty evenly split between NYC and back with the New Directons in Ohio. Only, there wasn't that much focus on the club as it was all about Brittany (Heather Morris) running for president with Artie's (Kevin McHale) help with Blaine (Darren Criss) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) running against her. Blaine had declared his campaign with "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" at the start of the episode and, lucky for the kids at McKinley High School, he won! WOO HOO!
Meanwhile, in New York City, Isabelle (SJP) is impressed with Kurt's (Chris Colfer) sense of style and hires him for the internship at Vogue.com. He immediately takes the still-down Rachel (Lea Michele) into the closet for a makeover, where they're joined by Isabelle for a cute rendition of "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile". Later on, Brody (Dean Geyer) finds Rachel and compliments her on her new look, they immediately launch into a duet of "A Change Will Do You Good" and she invites him over for dinner. As they get a little closer, though... we have to wait till next week to find out if they take things to the next level!
It looks like Kurt's career is definitely going to the next level, though, with Isabelle telling him that legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour saw their makeover video and said "great". Isabelle's prediction? Kurt has a huge future in fashion as a much sought-after designer! Does this mean that he'll give up his Broadway dreams? I guess we'll have to keep watching the season to find out!
