2012 ALMA Awards: Ryan Lochte, Danell Leyva, and other Latino Olympians will be honored!
With an impressive lineup of performances and appearances by some of our favorite stars, this year's ALMA awards are sure to be memorable. But though I always look forward to watching the show, I am especially excited this time around as hunky Cuban swimmer, Ryan Lochte, and several more amazing Latino Olympians are being honored at this month's ceremony!

The awards, which pay tribute to the biggest Latino accomplishments of the year in music, TV, and film, will reportedly be celebrating a handful of impressive athletes from this summer's London's Games--including gold medalist Lochte, water polo champions Brenda Villa and Jessica Steffens, famed gymnast Danell Leyva and runner Leonel Manzano. How exciting! Personally, I can't wait to see them get the recognition they deserve from the community and their fellow Latino peers. Plus, Lochte and Leyva together in one room?! Wearing tuxes?! That sounds like a great deal to me!
But they are far from the only celebs expected to show up or receive honors that night. For the third year in a row, funny duo, Eva Longoria and George Lopez, will host the event. Actors Rosario Dawson, Zoe Saldana, America Ferrera, and Wilmer Valderrama will be among the many award presenters. And as if that wasn't enough, The Voice coach, Christina Aguilera, will apparently be receiving a special achievement award for her career accomplishments and philanthropy efforts. Wow, you go Xtina!
