Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson arrested after new wife Evelyn Lozada charges domestic violence (VIDEO)
It's barely a month since he live-tweeted his wedding, but Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson has just been arrested in a domestic violence assault against new wife Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada.
In a bizarre incident that involved an argument over a condom receipt that Evelyn found in their car, the NFL reports that the two argued until Chad head-butted his wife and she had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for a "pretty good-sized" laceration, according to Police Captain Dale Engle.
Although he was arrested on Saturday night, he was released from the Miami, Florida, jail on Sunday morning after posting a $2,500 bond. His freedom didn't come at a happy time, though, since the 34-year-old wide receiver was fired by the Miami Dolphins that same morning.
He must be pretty upset, since he admitted to the cops that they argued but claims that his wife was the one that struck him in the head. However, according to the police report, Evelyn had a "laceration on the center of her forehead, approximately 3 inches in length" and had "fled on foot to a neighbor's house to get away from Johnson." I don't know who he thinks he's fooling, but I think the likelihood of her causing that damage is pretty slim.

It seems that their marriage is off to a VERY rocky start. The couple filmed a yet-to-be-released reality show for VH1 titled Ev and Ocho. UPDATE: VH1 has officially canceled the reality docu-soap "due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations", the network said in a statement.
Chad, who changed his last name to Ochocinco in honor of his jersey number (85) but has since changed it back to Johnson so that Evelyn could change her last name, has not responded to reporters about the incident. And, despite both of them loving Twitter, neither of them has uttered a peep since earlier on August 11th.
All of this begs the question: What is going to happen now? Are they going to get a divorce? Either way, I'm wishing Evelyn a speedy recovery and Chad to get his obvious anger management issues under control.
