The world is going to be seeing a whole lot of Mariah Carey in the next few months. After former Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler announced they would be leaving the show, speculation that Carey would be brought in as a replacement quickly began. And now it looks like all of those rumors are coming true! Fox president Kevin Reilly confirmed to reporters that Carey will be joining the show and the star herself told the media that she is "so excited to be joining Idol" during a phone call.

Though details of her contract haven't yet been released, Carey will reportedly make more than $17 million for just one season of the show, surpassing Lopez's former paycheck on Idol and Britney Spears' on X-Factor. Wow, they have must REALLY wanted her as a judge…and I can't exactly blame them. She will definitely make for a great addition--I mean, who knows vocal talent better than her?!

But her new Idol duties are only part of Carey's already busy career. On Saturday, she took to Twitter to share a little bit about her forthcoming single, writing "I wrote TRIUMPHANT when I was going through a difficult time & it helped me get through it. When u hear it, pay attention 2 the lyrics #WIN."

With that confident attitude, how can she not be doing well?
