Jessica Sanchez could be the next Selena!
We already know that American Idol runner-up, Jessica Sanchez, is working on her first album but is there any truth to the rumors that she'll record it in Spanish?
In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Sanchez revealed that at some point in the future, she would love to make a Spanish-language CD just like her longtime idol, Selena Quintanilla.
"I think the language is beautiful and I have [sung in Spanish] in the past," said Sanchez. "I don't know how to speak it, but definitely in the future, I would love to do that. I have a really good ear."

Oh my god, how amazing would that be?! And it would be the perfect way to give a nod to the Latino community, who Sanchez says gave her a ton of support throughout her time on the show. "It kind of pushed me even more because I wanted to make them proud and I'm glad that I did," she said. "I made it this far and I'm glad I could do that for the Latin community!"

Now, Sanchez is focusing on going on tour along with some of the other Idol contestants and working on songs for her first album, which I'm already expecting to be be amazing! And one thing's for sure: if she really does take notes from Selena, who Sanchez says has long since been one of her favorite Latina vocalists, there's no doubt that she will conquer both the Spanish and English-speaking worlds.
