Katherine Jenkins and William Levy both have something in common with past 'DWTS" champions (VIDEO)
Last night's Dancing with the Stars took a scary turn when Katherine Jenkins--who has been considered a front-runner for the majority of competition--hurt her back during her second performance and had a mini-meltdown right there on the ballroom floor.
Crying and covering her face with her hands, Jenkins had to be comforted by partner Mark Ballas and host Tom Bergeron before receiving her scores from the judges (which were good but landed her at the bottom). But she's hardly the first person to receive battle wounds from being the show--at least 3 other contestants have been injured this season alone, including our beloved Latin heartthrob William Levy!
Levy hurt his ankle during rehearsals a few weeks back and for a brief but heart wrenching period of time, fans thought he would be forced to leave the competition. Luckily, he decided to fight through the pain and was still able to deliver a stunning performance for the show's Latin Week. Since then, he has continued climbing his way to the top of the leaderboard despite occasional soreness from his ankle.
Still, viewers shouldn't be too worried—plenty of stars and even some of the professional dancers have hurt themselves throughout the years and actually gone on to become their season's champion! Last year, Latino vet J.R. Martinez also suffered from an ankle injury (what's with these Latin men and their ankles?!) but went on to win the trophy. Pro partner Kym Johnson also hurt her neck during rehearsals for the semi-finals but ended up taking first place with celebrity partner, Hines Ward.

Hopefully, Jenkins is OK because the finals are next week, which means the competition will be at its fiercest since all the contestants are gunning for that Mirror Ball Trophy! As for whose going home on tonight's elimination rounds, the decision is very up in the air--even the judges have said that this semi-final is the closest one EVER on all of Dancing with the Stars.
Even if that is the case, I know what my pick for the winner is--Team Fuego all the way!
