'America's Best Dance Crew' introduces first ever Mexican group! (VIDEO)

MTV's performance show, America's Best Dance Crew, already has some Latino representation with host Mario Lopez. But this season, the show stepped up its diversity by introducing their first ever Mexican crew, Funkdation!

Though the program premiered only last week, there has already been one hardcore dance battle! Funkdation, who fell into the bottom of the pack last night, faced off against Mix'd Elements, the bottom crew from the first episode. Though both groups gave it their all, Funkdation came out victorious, giving a much more exciting and polished performance than their challengers.

"The crew that I thought combined the moves, the message, and the energy in this battle was Funkdation," said former N'Sync member and judge JC Chasez.  Chasez's vote was the tie-breaker between the two crews.

How awesome is it to see a Mexican group representing the community on the show? Though the majority of the dances on the show are already upbeat, with lots of back flips and floor tricks, I feel like adding a little Latino flavor to the performances is definitely a good thing! Hopefully, the group will continue to improve so that they can stay out of the dance battles and stay in the competition until the end.
