Ah, young love. It's so fun and pretty, isn't it? Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez seem to be dolling out more than their share of it. He's already bought her a diamond ring (though not THAT kind of diamond ring) and a house where they may move in together (but I still think they're too young to be shaking up!). Now Justin Bieber is proving that, not only does he SING about being the perfect guy in his "Boyfriend" single, but he's also talking about all of the things that make him a great boyfriend to Selena Gomez. And it's really making me relive my own "puppy love" moments and wish that, well, I was young and in love like them.

In the new issue of Seventeen magazine, Justin Bieber openly talks about his relationship with Selena Gomez and what he does to keep his girl at his side:

"I'm just trying to make her happy, that's all. I think it's important to make all women feel like they're princesses, because every girl is a princess. I'm serious."

Um, who doesn't love that? He's clearly a sweetheart and, well, I wouldn't mind being treated like a princess, too. He's clearly head-over-heels for his girlfriend and would do anything for her.

The cynic inside me would warn them that puppy love doesn't last, that they should look at other young child star celebrity marriages and long relationships to see what happens in the end: Macaulay Culkin married at 18 and divorced at 22, High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were together through the filming of all 3 movies but have since split—a celebrity relationship I'm embarrassingly still mourning. But what would be the point of that?

Their young love makes me remember what it's like to be that age and hopelessly devoted to the person you're with. Maybe it won't last between them, but maybe it will. And they'll give hope to the rest of us who still wish for that little bit of "puppy love" to come back.

What do you think of Justin Bieber treating his girlfriend Selena Gomez as his "princess"?
