Dear Lindsay Lohan: Leave Pitbull alone!
Another day, another overly dramatic star with legal problems. After Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit against Pitbull for mentioning her in his song "Give Me Everything," the Cuban rapper is now coming to the defense of his lyrics.
Lohan claims that the artist's lines, "Hustlers move aside, so I'm tiptoein', to keep flowin', I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan," have caused her "irreparable harm" due to the reference to her jail time. The star is demanding all profits from the song and demanding legal action not only against Pitbull, but also against Sony Music and Ne-Yo and Afrojack, who collaborate on the song.

Now, Pitbull is firing back by noting that he also named Ryan Seacrest in the same song without facing legal ramifications. In fact, according to the legal documents recently filed in New York, Pitbull says that Seacrest even asked him to perform the song on a New Year's Eve program that he was hosting. The lyrics that refer to the host go, "I'm an American Idol, getting' money like Seacrest."

So, basically, Seacrest can actually take a joke and Lohan just has way too much time on her hands. Why do these stars feel like they can sue anyone at the drop of the hat? Seriously, she must be really bored. Stars are name-checked all the time in songs. It's hardly a cause for legal action--it's just what happens when you're famous--especially when part of your fame stems from various rehab, courthouse and jail stints.
Maybe Lohan should spend less time interfering with other people's careers and more time focusing on her own? Just a thought.
What do you think of Lohan's lawsuit? Do you agree with her or Pitbull?
