'American Idol' recap: Jennifer Lopez's fave Jeremy Rosado voted off
Only one Latino contestant remains on American Idol (Jessica Sanchez) after Jeremy Rosado delivered a disappointing rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon in the Sky" and was voted off the show.
In last night's tense show, American Idol judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson had to make the difficult decision of saving either Jeremy or Elise Testone, who was the female at the bottom of the vote.
When Ryan Seacrest asked the judges, "Did America get this right?" Jennifer Lopez sadly admitted, "I think so" as she explained the they decided to save Elise, effectively sending Jeremy (her wild card pick) off of the show.

While Jessica Sanchez wowed judges and audiences with her rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You", Jeremy delivered an okay (but not great) rendition of "Ribbon in the Sky" that just wasn't good enough to keep him in the competition.
Still, the decision wasn't easy, as Randy Jackson explained that "it wasn't either of their best performances so it's one of those nights where somebody has to go."
Although I've never been a huge fan of American Idol, I was excited to see that two Latino contestants had made it so far and even more thrilled by Jessica's beautiful voice. I was hoping that both she and Jeremy would make it much farther in the competition, but at least there's still one talented Latina in the competition. And hopefully we'll see more from Jeremy one day.
After his elimination, Jeremy tearfully told reporters: "You know what, Jennifer Lopez has been behind me the entire way. Just to be able to say that… I have been crazy blessed and she came up to me tonight and told me she wanted to keep me . . . I'm truly grateful for God putting her in my life."
