Freddie Prinze Jr. is lucky to be a stay-at-home dad
Nothing is more adorable than seeing a father spending time with his daughter, right moms? And now, we have another cute dad alert! According to CW actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar, her hubby and Cuban actor, Freddie Prinze Jr., absolutely loves staying at home with his daughter.
While Gellar is busy shooting her show, Ringer, she says Prinze Jr. has been the one staying at home and taking care of their 2-year-old daughter, Charlotte, which totally smashes the stereotype of macho Latino dads! It's understandable why being there for his child would be so important for Freddie, his own father infamously committed suicide when he was just a toddler, after battling an addiction to drugs and depression for years.
"You'd think it would be the opposite, that the parents would be like, 'No, I'll go to work!' but he's like, 'You stayed home for two years! It's my turn!' He loves it. We fight over who gets to stay home," Gellar told Us Weekly.

The 34-year-old actress, who gave birth in September 2009, took a two-year hiatus from her career to focus on motherhood. Now, she says she's letting her husband take over for a while. Hmm, I wonder if the guy I marry would be willing to stay at home while I brought home the bacon too? It seems like a pretty ideal set up for both of them--Sarah got to stay home for the first two years of Charlotte's life and now that she's back at work, Freddie seems to be more than fine taking up the mantle of 24/7 parent.
Gellar admits it can be hard to balance her demanding career with her family obligations. "It's hard to see Charlotte's little face when you say you have to go to work. It's sad!" she said. "But you make time for everything. You work it out."
