Chris Brown's tweets prove he has no business at Premio lo Nuestro awards

Ugh, just days after being horrified by the Chris Brown Twitter trend I saw after the Grammy awards, it turns out that Mr. Breezy will also be performing at the Premio lo Nuestro, airing live tomorrow on Univisión.

What is the deal? Did the entire music industry just catch sudden memory loss? 'Cause just in case they forgot why Brown was in the dog house, the LAPD's police report leaked today, explaining in grotesque detail exactly what went down that fateful night before the 2009 Grammys--and it is just as disturbing as your probably imagine it would be.

The report basically paints a stark image of a guy who may just have killed his girl right then and there if Rihanna hadn't managed to grab the keys to the car Chris Brown was driving--he definitely clearly threatened her life. There is really no need to go into details, but the fact of the matter is that what Brown did can't just be swept under the rug. I'm not saying he should pay for his mistake for the rest of his life either, but can he at least address the criticism constructively rather than with a completely bratty tweet?

Hate all U want becuz I got a Grammy now! That's the ultimate F*** OFF!

Brown defiantly posted on Twitter in reaction to the online backlash against his Grammy appearance. Sure, the tweet was eventually deleted, but it just proves that Breezy is still just a petulant little boy who doesn't understand the magnitude of the error of his ways.

It's probably why some of his fans don't really get it either. I mean, that's the only explanation of the throngs of girls asking to be beaten by Brown after his performance on Sunday night, right? Brown has yet to really acknowledge the seriousness of what he did, or talk about his history of witnessing domestic violence in his home. Until that happens, and he actually goes to therapy to get what are clearly anger management issues under control, he shouldn't be held up as a pillar of the music industry.

Which is why he has absolutely no business making another public appearance tonight, on a show that will, once again, attract a bunch of younger (specifically Latino) viewers.

Chris Brown is scheduled to take the stage at the Premio lo Nuestro opposite Pitbull to perform their hit song, "International Love"--let's just hope someone wakes up before then and pulls the plug. Don't worry, Mr. 305 is performing more than once tonight, so you won't miss out on anything!

What do you think? Should Chris Brown be allowed to perform at Premio lo Nuestro tonight?
