Christina Aguilera Wows us "At Last" (VIDEO)

Talk about a beautiful comeback! After being ridiculed for messing up the lyrics to the National Anthem at least year’s Super Bowl, Christina Aguilera has proven she’s still got what it takes in a beautiful rendition of “At Last” at Etta James’ private funeral held Saturday.

In a moving performance where Christina calls Etta the one that “cut right to my soul and spoke to me,” the Latina paid tribute by performing the R&B legend’s signature song and ending it with “and we love you, Etta.”

I’ve been a fan of Christina’s ever since her “Genie in a Bottle” fighting-for-pop-princess-dominance days. I’ve followed her through “Lady Marmalade”, her album Back to Basics and even her first starring role in Burlesque. Now I’m happy to see her as one of the judges on NBC’s The Voice, which returns after the Super Bowl this weekend!

Meanwhile, Etta James is a legend whose funeral was attended by many, including Stevie Wonder. Even President Barack Obama wrote a personal letter, read by Reverend Al Sharpton, in which the president declared that Etta “transcended genres” and would be most remembered for her voice. Christina’s tribute, with her own beautiful voice, was certainly fitting and drew a standing ovation at the end as she thanked Etta for the inspiration.
