As Editor-in-Chief of MamásLatinas, I am most excited to be a part of a talented team that is vibrant with ideas. Having been raised (in Puerto Rico) as one of five children in a home that seemed to be always awake and in full motion, I'm your typical juggling mom: after work every day and on weekends it's back on high gear running from here to there with my three amazing kids (ages 20, 18 and 12). I'm a hopeless romantic who enjoys photography, is crazy about shoes, and LOVES to travel!

I know I'm Latina when...

fashion, food and music to me have to be colorful, spicy and loud!

Flat belly spinach smoothie (RECIPE)

green

Spinach is a natural weight loss food, a simple fact that has helped me see this green leaf with greater appreciation. All science and medicine aside though, what's not to love about a green smoothie? Flavored with a favorite ripe fruit and a little bit of honey or agave syrup, it makes for an awesome mid-afternoon snack or a power breakfast treat to star your day with great energy. I bet you will love this quick recipe. So why don't you try it TODAY?!
