"Castor oil is most commonly used as a natural treatment for thin or sparse eyelashes,” Dr. Joshua Zeichner, dermatologist and director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York told InStyle. "[The] fatty acids [...] coat the hair shaft [...] to enhance shine and make the hair itself look thicker."
