She always opted for prepping her own home-made remedies in her kitchen, with ingredients you can find in pretty much any house. This particular recipe uses oatmeal, lemon and parsley.

DIY home remedy to lighten and soften elbows
-A bunch of parsley
-2 large lemons
-1 heaping tablespoon of powdered oatmeal (if whole, you can just grind it in the food processor)
- Boil the parsley leaves in 2 cups of water. Let it cool.
- Mix the juice of one lemon with powdered oatmeal. Add the oatmeal little by little since the idea is to form a paste.
- Apply this paste to your elbows for at least 30 minutes. Massage it into the area in circular movements to exfoliate.
- Rinse the oatmeal paste off with the cooled parsley water.
And that's it! Super easy, right? Each ingredient on its own is a natural whitener, but combining all three will give you out-of-this-world results. You'll soon be showing off soft elbows with no need for expensive products!
