Coconut oil is great, there's no question about it, but almond oil is pretty much up there with it. It's packed with vitamin E, proteins and antioxidants which can work to even your complexion, protect your from UV damage (perfect for the summertime) and even promote healthy hair growth. Yes, it helps promote hair growth! Did I mention it doesn't cost much either? Here are five reasons why you need to add almond oil to your daily beauty regimen right NOW?

It gives you glowy skin: There's a reason why almond oil can be found in a lot of our skincare products and that's because it's loaded with vitamin A, B, E and antioxidants that don't just nourish your skin, but also improve and repair it. Massage a little onto your face and you'll notice an instant glow!

It smooths chapped lips: I have to constantly keep my lips moisturized otherwise they'll chap on me. I like layering a drop of almond oil over my lip balm. It keeps them smooth and soft for hours.

It moisturizes better: Struggle with dry and irritated skin? Pat dry your body after a shower and then moisturize using almond oil. It helps lock in moisture and even sooths irritation or inflammation.

It protects you from the sun: Before hitting up the beach apply some almond oil under your sunscreen. Research shows that it can prevent the structural damage caused by UV exposure. Apparently it also helps to fade out a tan too.

It promotes hair growth: According to the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, almond oil is rich in biotin which allows it to stop hair loss while promoting growth. Massage a generous amount of it to your hair from roots to ends, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing out.
